LAMEEKOUST
DELTA : 3A -
COMPLIANT SOUND ABSORBENT PANEL SYSTEM
The Lameekoust Delta:3A
Panel System, having an aluminium outer construction with a high
performance, inert, non-combustible, vermin and mould resistant, and low
bio-persistence, bio-soluble, sound absorptive infill material, has been
developed for use in demanding environments such as underground
transport systems.
Unlike mineral fibre and other sound absorptive materials, which
normally incorporate smoke-emitting binders, the base material of the
Lameekoust Delta:3A System is a modified calcium-magnesium-silicate
blanket manufactured without binders and which, if ingested, has an
enhanced solubility in the human body.
Consisting of a zero-smoke micro-mesh grey-tone platen behind the
perforated front panel of the aluminium tray enclosing the acoustic
infill, the Lameekoust Delta:3A System is considered to be another
significant advance in terms of material systems with enhanced safety
factors suitable for use in restricted spaces such as underground
platforms and passageways, the product with the facing panel finished in
high quality Lameek LP3 Polyester Powdercoat (PPc) RAL 9016X having been
independently tested (*) and shown to comply with BS 476 Part 6:1989
Fire Propagation, with BS 476 Part 7:1999 Class 1 Surface Spread of
Flame, with BS 6853: 1999 D8.4, and London Underground Standard
2-01001-002 Section 5.2.3–Toxic Fume Emission, and is currently being
independently assessed against LUL Standard 1-085 Issue A2, the product
being available with alternative finishes when specified, subject to
testing for system compliance, the Lameekoust Delta:1, with a
mill-aluminium finish, having been previously tested for compliance.
The inherent acoustic performance of the product may be moderated by the
mounting arrangement, the Certified (**) Octave Band Sound Absorption
Coefficients for Delta 1, in a typical tunnel lining configuration,
being as tabled below together with the equivalent predicted values for
Delta 3A.
